Scavenger Hunt 2011
The PB Scavenger Hunt is a fun filled scavenger hunt adventure around Pacific Beach, California. All proceeds fromt he event go to the Grind For Life Foundation, to help families offset the unforseen expenses of cancer treatments. Your event entry will not only buy you a day of fun in americas finest city, but you will also be helping out a child in need.
Teams are made up of 12 players. People may sign up as full teams or just as individuals that will be later paired with other players. This is a great way to network and get to know people.
Check in begins at 12:00 p.m. At checkin, teams will be given a goodie bag with t-shirts and other sponsor items along with notification of who your team captain is.
The event start is at 2:00 p.m. with a shotgun beer chug. After the beer chug, teams are given a list of tasks that must be completed in 3 hours or less. These tasks are graded on a points scale. All teams must have a digital camera to capture evidence that the task has been completed. Bonus points will be given to the first team to return with or without all of their tasks completed.
When the 3 hours is up, all teams must return to Typhoon Saloon with the compelted task list in hand. Players will then continue on to our after party in the back room of Typhoon Saloon. Team captains will then sit with judges to go over the task list and the accuracy of each task.
Players will be able to help themselves to a full dinner spread put together by Fred’s, along with an open bar in the back room of Typhoon Saloon.
Winners are announced during the awards ceremony and trophys are distributed proceeding dinner. Live music is then played for the rest of the evening and the dance floor is open for all.
